About me

I am Camille Schoell, aka "Shakkam", a seasoned songwriter, composer, and performer known for versatility and compositional skills. An eclectic musical career I have had an eclectic musical career, playing guitar, bass, drums, piano, and singing. I started with the melodic metal band Amethys in 1998, recording three albums with them between 2001 and 2010. In 2007, I explored a new facet of my creativity by producing a solo album of instrumental covers of video game music. In 2011, I embarked on an ambitious project: a metal opera titled "Fathers," featuring a small group of singers. This project marked a significant turning point, showcasing my ability to orchestrate complex works and collaborate with various artists. From music to video games Since 2012, I have also made a name in video game composition, contributing to successful titles such as Evoland 1 and 2, Northgard, and Wartales. My music has enhanced the gaming experience with enchanting melodies and careful arrangements. Back to Metal In 2022, I released "Confluence," an album of covers from pop, rock, and various styles reimagined in a metal style. In 2023, the EP "Prejudice" featured three original tracks in the metal genre, with a central theme of discrimination. "Rock Science": A New Era With "Rock Science," Shakkam returns to his rock and hard rock roots while exploring new horizons. "Rock Science" is an electrifying fusion of rock sounds and inspired, personal lyrics, reflecting his artistic evolution.
